Our Mission and Our Passion

Tempest Optics was founded with a singular purpose in mind. We wanted a real solution to the problem of fogging lenses. Our quest began over 9 years ago with a small company called Abom and has morphed into Tempest Optics. Our latest creation represents the culmination of many years of goggle and anti-fog design evolution. The goal was to achieve an elusive combination of high tech anti-fog protection without sacrificing optical quality, weight, comfort, convenience, and ease of use. The resulting technology is protected by a dozen US patents and patents pending. We put our passion, blood, sweat, and tears into our creations and believe the Tempest goggle achieves our goals.

Tempest goggles are designed using state of the art tools across multiple disciplines including electronics, software, industrial, and mechanical design.

Tested extensively in the mountains of Utah and the Pacific Northwest.

Tempest is fortunate to have a highly discriminating group of testers in Utah and Oregon in both power sports and recreational alpine ski/snowboard categories. Customer feedback is equally important and comes from all over the United States and Canada. Constant product improvement is deemed essential at Tempest.
